At the end of a dead-end cobbled road, surrounded by the tranquillity of hundreds of acres of fields and orchards and in the pleasant company of swallows, hares, herons, cows, horses, roe deer and a lot of other natural beauty, you will find Kasteelhoeve Wange.
For Philip and Klara it was love at first sight. Soon thereafter, Pieter and Ellen also joined us to realise this unique project. As a seminar or event location for companies and organizations during the week and a guesthouse for family and friends during the weekend, we try, together with our enthusiastic team, to write a sustainable, connecting and authentic story.
Every day we look for ways to reduce our burden on the environment, on people and on animals. We do this, for example, through well-considered choices in the area of solar energy, wastewater treatment, water recuperation and biomass heating. Sustainability is always paramount, also when it comes to food and drink, maintenance products or partnerships. An approach that focuses on the future and that was rewarded twice already with the ' International Green Key' award for most sustainable tourism company in the world!
A castle farm used to be a connective hub: it brought together the surrounding residents, artisans and farmers. And that is still true today. The Kasteelhoeve is a place where people come into contact with each other, enjoy themselves together, find tranquillity and find the space to be themselves. In addition, we have developed partnerships with numerous local organizations, companies, individuals and suppliers. The connection with, and respect for, nature is a common thread in everything we do on our 14-hectare domain.
The Kasteelhoeve returns to the essence. No unnecessary luxury, no formalities, but pure and uncomplicated. Delicious and honest food, quiet being together, beautiful nature, a beautiful accommodation with natural materials and a sincere contact with the residents of the site. The open kitchen allows for contact with our chefs who talk passionately about what they prepare and where their products come from. The Kasteelhoeve is a place with a history, a story that begins in the 13th century.
